How to get to pause print when MMU needs attention

How does one get to pause the print when MMU needs attention?

My experience is that if there is a problem loading or unloading most times it requires a full "load to nozzle" for the filament causing problem, but I cannot find a way to pause the print. The only option on the printer LCD is "press button when problem is fixed" and the option on the MMU is "press middle button and try again". So the only way out is a crash stop which is annoying when you are hours in to a print.

Any ideas? Or did I miss something simple??

All pause print will do is turn off the extruder heat and home the printer. This is already what happens when the MMU gets angsty.

After clearing everything, the MMU buttons should do their job. For some bad cases (selector was on tool 2 (where it was supposed to be), but it was driving tool 3) I've had luck with resetting the MMU itself and the print resuming.

I've yet to get a complete multi-tool print, but I've had plenty of experience with "MMU needs user attention"...

Yes, but once the print is paused I can also get to all the other functions. I have never had any luck with the middle button on the MMU. Once it has a problem the only thing I have been able to do is to hit the reset on the side. The MMU will, after the reboot, bring up a green light which then lets the main control thing all is OK.  I can then pause and sort out the rest. Yesterday I did a small print with about 200 tool changes of which probably 50 needed attention.

I have also had the problem where the selector is in the wrong spot. Could use a sensor.

Thanks
