Feed to Nozzle

I just installed my MMU and it was working great for a couple of test prints and now when I do the load to nozzle function, it will push the filament to the extruder and pull it back then repeat a few times and finish with no filament in the line between the MMU and the extruder. The MK3S+ just ask if the typical color question. When you select No, the MMU does nothing and the message pops back up. Any ideas on how to fix this?

MMU2 Not Coordinating with Extruder

Jrooker06

Is this video similar to the issue that you are having?

My printer will not load from the MMU2 but when I unscrew the PTFE tube from the extruder and hand load the filament, then it will load. My issue seems like a software/firmware issue between the two (MK3 and MMU2) that keeps the filament from loading all the way to the bondtech gears. Either this, or the filament is in the bondtech gears and the MMU2 does not allow free pull by the extruder.

Feeding issues with the MMU and feeding driver

Dears,

I have been experiencing troubles with my MK3/MMU since the beginning, with frequent filament jamming, unnecessary filament go-in and go-out spontaneously and with no visible reason,  MMU requiring attention and so on… now, the feeding processes went crazy, just look the video: it seem that the filament tracker goes full speed during all the Feed to Nozzle process, what causes jamming of the hot end and destruction of the filament inside the feeding body. Considering that, I have two questions for whoever can help me:

1- What is causing such a erratic behavior of the feeding system, which culminated today with the total failure of the feeding mechanism?

2- I thing I had enough with this MMU part, it proved to be useless and a very time consuming system. I prefer to get rid of it and turn my Prusa into a simple MK3. How to do that?

Many thanks for any helping hand!

Marco

Extra Loading Distance

@marco-3

the issue, filament stripping out due to jamming during loading, then reloading

solution- I found a video showing the “extra loading distance” setting to be causing issues during loading. Here is the video:
