Congrats.

Read through the negative threads that have been active the last few weeks. See what we've gone through so you can hopefully avoid (or at least better understand) issues. Don't let the threads discourage you though, there is a lot of good support in them.

My advice is to do the extruder changes first and then get the printer dialed back in again to make sure you don't have any issues. Then continue with the MMU itself. 

If you don't have the space for their suggested layout with the buffer (and maybe anyway), look into printing some auto rewind spool holders. The ones I've recommended (and am using) take about 24 hours to print out. I started with 2 and then once 2 color printing worked I ran off the other 3 (with colored dials!).

Thank you gnat for the advice:). I had met Jo at MRRF in March and asked him if his team could build one for me and I would buy  another MK3S for it and said  that not now but perhaps  in the fall.  So due to my low vision, a friend I met on this forum will help me out:). MRRF was great as it was my first trip there(6 hr drive) But luckily I have a great wife who drove us there and had a great time as well:). So be on the look out and I will post some of my MMU2 prints.

These posts over the last while have indeed been encouraging. I was contemplating an MMU2 later this year and it's good to see things have gotten more reliable, so I'm far less on the fence than I was before the S upgrade.

Like I said, Jo was ever so nice to us and took time out from his conversation he was having with a few people to take a pic with me as well.  Prusa has my business for life with me:)

Order mine December 10 2018, was shipped April 29 and arrived shortly after.  I'm pleased with it (though not getting on so well with the filament buffer).

I think the shipping times, published in the knowledge base, have been reliable for the past few weeks or so.

My MMU2 order kept slipping, then they announced the MMU2S, and it went back almost a whole month - after that it was stable and arrived when they said it would. Hope this is of some encouragement for those still waiting.

Now, all I need is a powder-coated sheet... 😉

So Andy, how is your MMUS2?  I hope it will be a blast for me:).  If you are into 3D printing a lot, you have to go to MRRF if you live within 8-10 hr drive to it:). Besides, the Amish food around there was great as well:)

Ordered MMUS2 on April 2nd and just got notification it will be here Friday:) Prusa has time and time again proved to me and thousand others that they are the BEST!

Hats  off once again to Jo Prusa and his team:)

 

 

And you pay for it.  I paid 50 top 3 plates.

I have one Prusa textured sheet and I have 4 from MatterHacker.  Yes the ones from MH are not cheap but they work as well as Prusa one.  But its only $$ :).   I am still not sold on SLA1 yet but we will see the outcome in a few weeks we hope:)

I can confirm this.  I suspect it is the same maker as theKKIINNGG V4.

I too had gotten  the kinggg version 1 2 and 4 and personally thought it was just a bad copy of Prusa textured sheet.  He had 4 versions and not  up to par.  Now MH had it right on their 1st version.   Nuff said:)

Funny.  The MH sheet appears to be identical to theKKIINNGG.  My testing shows the same surface and print results.  I would be shocked if they are not made by the same folks.

I am laughing as well.  MH sheets I was able to dial them in the 1st try.  The king(lol) was not able to dial it in  a few tries.  

I really enjoy printing on texture sheet .  When I had a Sindoh DP201  3 yrs ago it had a flex texture as well.  🙂

I had no issue dialing in either but I have read about horror stories with both and have experienced on with an AliExpress sheet,

im really surprised people are getting their MMUs so fast now, i ordered on the 16th of January and it was just shipped last friday which sadly means it wont even be here on monday.

I have learned that if you want something badly enough, you might just have to wait on it:). Prusa makes GREAT 3D printer, we have to wait on the greatness of it for sure. 🙂
