Overhang surfaces made using different approaches

Hi, I read that some users have success in printing PLA and use PETG as support or vice versa. How is the overhang surface made using this approach vs. those made using PVA or BVOH as support? Which approach made the nicest looking surface or they produce surfaces that look almost the same?

RE: Overhang surfaces made using different approaches

In My case I have never succeeded with BVOH or PVA,

the soluble filaments have always been samples so they may not have been the best... but PLA support peeled off my PETG Model boat propellors nicely,

I was not supporting bridges so only the tips of the blade were supported. the work fine...

@joantabb

Thanks. Does the surface look smooth if using PLA as support?
