Not loading second filament
HI,
I have been running the MK3S with the MMU2s with no issues for a while but have hit a snag I cannot solve. I have the blade drop which clogged the unit, I fixed that but now have the following issue.
It will load the first color (in this case black from MMU port 2) and print the first layers. When it comes to change to the second filament (Red in port 1) it;
Loads to the extruder fine then moves back and forth a couple of times and rejects. I have watched the sensors and the filament sensor is triggering to "1" before it gets booted. I have noticed the ends are stretched and have a small blob on the end (which I know is not desirable). To fix this I have tried the following.
Redid the blade with the spare blade I had to ensure I had not put it in upside down or something stupid like that.
Backed off the first layer calibration
checked the bondtech gears. (I did notice a lot of shaved remains in the chamber which I cleared) and used a clearing rod (wonderful tool from cocoon create) to push to the hot end. there appears to be no blockage although I cannot see all the way all the way in on the prusa.
Is there anything I have missed?
RE: Not loading second filament
Found it.
The IR sensor must of just been on the edge of working (must of bumped it or something) and it went intermittent hence when I looked at it it was ok.
I moved the tower over as far as possible and it is now printing as before. 😀
