First Long MK3S/MMU2 Print - Much Better Experience
Here is a quick pic comparison that about sums up the experience in some cases between the mmu2 with the mk3 and the mmu2 with the mk3s.
The first print was printed last month on the at .15 layer height with PLA. It printed fine up until it had a load issue, from there it had a shaky finish and skipped a few layers. I decided to reprint it with the new sensor. This time .15 height with adaptive layering for the back and head and petg. I had a few issues but everything was recoverable, I had a minor layer shift but that's because of a false crash detection, but overall I am pretty happy with how it ran as a first print. I will admit I was a bit rusty with troubleshooting it at first because it hadn't been used much recently.
The parts for the buffer finished last night before I went to bed. I assembled it but I am not sure how I am going to make it work with my enclosure yet.
For reference this is also how I have my mmu2 configured to work with my mk3 in an enclosure. It has been tweaked a bit over time in the pictures, but it is more or less the same.
Thanks for the update Prusa, it's made the unit much more reliable. I feel like I don't have to constantly be around to baby sit it any more. I will keep playing with it this weekend and see what I can come up with.
Re: First Long MK3S/MMU2 Print - Much Better Experience
Both are outstanding to me. I've had my MMU 2.0 installed since June 2018 and still can't get it to work. I'm hoping once I receive the "S" upgrades for both the MK3 and MMU 2 that I'll get some results.
