Firmware 3.5.0

I got an email that Firmware 3.5.0 has been posted for the MK3, and includes fixes for MMU functionality.

I'm surprised there's been no announcement or discussion about it yet.

Admin edit:
Version is 3.5.0 not 3.5.5, fixed 😉

Re: Firmware 3.5.5

ya, at this point. all the work ive done this past week to get it working. I would be pissed if some firmware screwed it up. but it did do 2X500 filament changes with no issues. I might have to tackle my bearing/ rod issues this weekend. but I feel the need to print. I still haven't replaced the extruder case 😀 I'm shocked how well its working

Re: Firmware 3.5.5

Has anyone noticed a weird noise coming from bontech area whenever it ejects a color? I never noticed it until I started a color print after doing firmware update. I did the update then did many single color prints, but when I did my first color print I noticed a rather loud humm or buzz coming from the extruder area. It really surprised me. It does it right after the ram sequence, when it starts pulling out the filament. It sounds like something is vibrating, it's hard to explain. I was just wondering if I'm not the only one that has this issue. It doesn't do this when the unit ejects filament after printing a single color print, only when it's changing colors during a multicolor print, so that leads me to believe that it could be something with the unloading speed of the settings. So I'm going to mess with those and see what happens.

Yeah, I did as well but didn't look into it.

Re: Firmware 3.5.5

i keep writing 6 colors when i mean 5 colors... so i'm 13 hours into a new rosie the skunk and everything seems ok i have about another hour of printing to complete and then inspect the sample for problems.

this goes along with discovering some strange behavior of the MMU2 when the unit is cold and has not been turned on in a few hours.

Re: Firmware 3.5.0

I just reverted back to previous firmware.

Ever since I installed latest firmware I would have problems loading new filaments into the MMU2. It would load one, but then I couldn't load the others. The head just wouldn't move to the next one, no matter what I did. Then I noticed after a single color print, when it went to eject the filament, the filament got stuck. Screen told me to fix the problem with the MMU, then press the button, like it usually does. But this time when I fixed the problem I the MMU wouldn't acknowledge any button presses. I had to reset the printer by turning it off then back on. Luckily this was after my print was done, so that was a good thing. This is when I decided to revert back to the previous firmware.

I reverted both the MMU2, and the MK3. I wanted to see if the noise issue I was having with the extruder went away, and figured that might be with the MK3 firmware. Just tested it, and yeup, noise went away. So, not totally sure if that noise was due to MMU2 Firmware, or MK3 firmware. But for now, I'm sticking with the previous firmware until Prusa comes out with another update.

I'll also check out the official thread that jakub.d linked. Just thought I would let you guys know the issues I was having in this thread as well.
