filament never loads or retracts without manual assistance
Nothing I have tried over the past week has gotten filament to load reliably. the MMU pulley parts are poorly engineered to consistently pull or push filament through PTFE. Too little tension and nothing happens. too much tension and filament gets ground up. No tolerance for different filaments or dust getting in the tubing.
Only thing consistent about MMU2S is that the filament stops halfway between MMU and extruder then times out, for loading and unloading both.
Junk.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem,
You finded a solution?

I did find a solution:
- Replaced the MMU->extruder PTFE with 3mm ID
- increased cooling settings for the filaments
- Swapped clear PTFE for creality capricorn XS between buffer and MMU
- used festo fitting mods for rear of MMU
Flawless execution now!

Hi
Can you explain how to connect festo fitting mods for rear of MMU? I think it's very interesting, have you a video o pictures?
Thanks

You print this and order the fittings from amazon:

I would do this mod first. It might be enough for you to get everything very reliable. (It was for me).
RE: filament never loads or retracts without manual assistance
@josh-g11: how many cooling moves do you reccomend?
I have made the hardware upgrades as above, but still approximately every 100 to 200 tool changes I have a jam that I need to fix.
Thanks
Cheers

@wpegden
Thank you. I did it and it works well.
And I think I'll use 3mm ID ptfe to make it easier.
