Trouble AFTER a successful print

I still have not tried to print anything with multiple filaments in one print so I have been using my MMU2S in single filament mode to print parts for the Lack enclosure and now a better designed buffer than the one it comes with.  Lately I have been having issues after the print happens where the filament will not automatically come back up the PTFE tube between the extruder and MMU2s.  Basically each time the print finishes, it will just get jammed down in the extruder, and I get one of those "check MMU" error messages.  I am just not ever sure at this point want to try to tweak to fix this and it's becoming tiresome after each print that I have the take a bunch of things apart to get the filament out.  Any ideas of what I can try/test?

Make sure you have the sensors correctly calibrated. The printer - mmu communication is dependent on the sensor statuses. Any false filament in/out statuses can create a mismatch.
