Tension on idler-springs - resulting malfunction

Hi folks,

I just wanted to chime in on something I did find, so others might profit from it...

It appears to me that the idler seems very sensitive to the tension applied by the springs.
So far, I screwed the screws in until the heads were optically flush with the surface - that gave me skipping on filaments 4 and especially 5.
Flush and then two turns furthers made the idler-barrel skip/loose steps when trying to switch to filament 5 as the stepper couldn't overcome the force required to roll the bearing over the present filament.
Flush and then one half turn in seems to have hit the sweet spot so far.

I am specifically mentioning this as that topic appears nowhere in troubleshooting so far - I lost one day of printing due wrong tension...

Hope this helps someone! 🙂

Cheers, Daniel
