Re: Matterhacker Build settings
Thanks David, I'm also curious, how difficult is it to get into the MMU if you run across any problems? I'm often looking into the top of my MMU when I have an issue, and I'm thinking it might be nice to have that on the outside of the enclosure.
I do have another option though, and it was actually my wife's suggestion, get another machine and put that in the enclosure that I have. That way I can have a machine dedicated to printing ABS, and a machine for printing multiple colors. I don't think I would need to print multi-color ABS, most of that is going to be done with PLA. I usually save the ABS for the more functional items.
So, I have many choices, just haven't figured out which way to go yet.

what if i told "I do have another option though, and it was actually my wife's suggestion, get another machine and put that in the enclosure that I have."
will start you down an addictive path.
i have 4 machine now... it started with hey i have some spare parts i'll make a printer that has a .25mm nozzle for experiments, and hey i need a steel nozzle too.

LOL, yea, that's what I'm afraid of. The one thing I have going for me though is that I don't have much room in my "Hobby Room" for another printer, and I don't like the idea of putting the printer out in the garage, it's separate from the house, and I don't think I would be inclined to monitor it as much. Though there is the option of using octoprint with a camera, but out where I live we don't have much options for high speed internet, and I think our low bandwidth would be troublesome for a live video feed.
So, that's keeping me from getting carried away with more printers. 😀

HAHAHAHAH like the lack of space can shutdown the addiction 😈
having high speed internet won't effect viewing the camera locally over Wifi, however remote viewing let say from work back home could be spotty but you could lower resolution and lower the frame rates.

Re: Matterhacker Build settings
Ya it is a bit of a pain to get to. I had to get to it several times at first, and I would have to pull the filament off the top and then take the top off. Now that some of the problems with it are getting ironed out, it has made it much easier. I haven't had a problem with it where I needed to pull it apart in at least a week or two. My hopes is that it will only get more reliable as well. My initial thoughts were that if down the road I'm needing to get to it regularly for maintenance then it's probably an unreliable pos I'll eventually pull off anyway.
