Certainly also works with less torque. I have always set the value 2.5 to 3 Nm since the first use and never had problems with leaking nozzles or a defective thread on the nozzle or the heating block.

has there been a scenario or can you think of one, where it would only work on the lower torque1.5nm but cause nozzle leaks on the 2.1-3Nm range, in your opinion?

I have not had leaks with 1.3 to 1.5.

I would start with 1.5Nm and see how it behaves. Then you can still tighten it.
You can use a small torque wrench like this one:

1-5Nm

1-6Nm

While we are at it - I have also tested some things and finally built something of my own:

Of course any torque wrench in the range of 1 - 3 Nm can be used.

got this message from Spool3d for there tungsten nozzle when i asked what the right torque to use is

"Thank you for contacting us.  For filament temperatures 250 and below we find 1.8 Nm works.  If going hotter, we suggest 2.5Nm."

now i am starting to think combo of filament used torque/temp  used can cause or prevent leak 

example: if i print with PETG mostly i prob should not go above the 1.8Nm torque or if i Print with PETG And use 2.5 torque which is ment for higher temp filament it will cause a leak 

what filament you guys print with your TCs mostly?

I print a lot of Carbon Nylon, Carbon PEEK (360 degrees C. nozzle temp.), ASA, ABS, Carbon PC....
Nozzle tightening torque for the TC with nickel-plated copper heating block is, as I mentioned before, 2.5 - 3Nm.

I have been using the PEEK insert for the counterholder for about 1 1/2 years. If you don't heat it over 250 degrees C. it will last almost forever. I also reinforced the cheeks with metal pins made of tempered steel.

do you also use the copper heat block with your TC nozzle, if not which one do you use and where do you get it from?

fyi:
i used the low torque still seem to leak.

I also asked spool 3d "so does this mean if I print a lot with PETG 240c, and i tighten nozzle at 2.5Nm it would cause issues maby nozzle leaks?"
they responded "No, if you tighten the nozzle more, less/no leaks should occur."

I use the e3D Copper Heatblock I purchased from Amazon.  No leaks.  I use the wrench I got from Aliexpress.  They well a 2.5 and 1.8 NM nozzle wrench.  I used them with an adaptor and socket if I need to do a different nozzle size.  

I recently started using Z-Catch with my V6 hotends and prefer it.

I normally don't post my thoughts on clone hardware replacements, but holy smokes!

First, the company's description: "It is my own heatbreak design. 2x better thermal barrier performance vs E3D heatbreak. It is not a clone, geometry is different - see second photo for details. I reworked geometry and improved tolerances and features."

If I'm replacing the Prusa heatbreak because of geometry problems, I'm not sure I want to jump on board with some smaller outfit's idea of "better".

Second, the reviews mention burrs and using a countersink bit to correct them.

After 2 disasters clone bi-metal hotends, I'm done using clone parts in critical parts of my printers. I'm sticking with E3D or well-known quality brands. Saving $2-10 is simply not worth the time it takes to repeatedly tear my printers down.

I always like to compare this with cars. It's like buying a $300,000 Ferarri and then fitting retreaded Trabi tires. Of course you can ride it, but the question is only how long and how good.
You can save money anywhere, but the least you should do is do it at the hotend, because it is essential for a trouble-free flow and a perfect result.
The clones are attractively priced, which is why they are bought so often.

But this does not mean that all clones are bad. The good ones cost their price, as well as e.g. parts of trianglelabs.

I like the Z Catch because it seems to also hold the hotend and prevent the heatblock from spinning.  

I have two of those heatbreaks and they work.  I can't comment on them being superior.  They definitely work.  I prefer the price on Polsi's Heatbreaks.
