As Guykuo said that current settings doesn't affect silent mode, maybe what i'm saying can be a little bit suspicious.
I'm working with 3.90 firmware, i had layer shift and everything went in order by adjusting current settings in Configuration_prusa.h.

I would not recommend to use silent settings. It mostly overloads TMC drivers. Use normal but perhaps decrease max acceleratioion in config a bit. I'm using 750mm/s^2 only. It seems, that in silent mode, fw uses only stealthchop mode, it does not combine it with spreadcycle or use spreadcycle at all. stealthchop is silent but weak. At least for fast moves, you need spreadcycle. So just use normal mode with 0.9 steppers.

I was aware of that and i took my Fluke multimeter with thermocouple, tested every TMC on the thermal vias, never been more than 42°c and it's printing near 24/24.
I even used this temp measure to adjust the current settings.
Obviously, my MK3S doesn't seem to be a reference...

I saw TMC_OVERTEMP errors on my TMC2130 drivers in a while when I switched to the silent mode with 0.9 seppers. But maybe I do not have a reference printer as well 😉

As noted earlier in this thread, I have heat sinks mounted on all my TMC thermal vias. Note that is the OPPOSITE side of PC board as the driver chips. Do NOT put heat sinks atop the chip packages.
Without heat sinks, they do indeed overheat in stealth. With heatsinks, they do just fine. You will need to modify your EINSY case to fit the heat sinks and allow air circulation on the non-component side of the PC-board.

I agree with you, safety first.
I've read this thread many times, i'm aware of that and i would not have run my MK3s in silentmode without those heatsinks, unless...
...after many hours of TMC temp monitoring, waiting for a TMC overtemp alarm, it never went over 42°c, it's just a statement, it's just my printer and i don't know how to explain it.
Never had any issue else that some layer shifts before adjusting current settings since the beginning.
OMC motors always home well with standard firmware.
It was an easy swap for me.
When i've done it, this thread was maybe 36 pages long and i was a little bit scared to do it.
In the end, VFA are gone.

I do have heatsinks on all 4 (on the reverse side of the board), and I modified the case to fit the heatsinks, I just didn't cut a hole straight through, so there may be some airflow issues. Is there some way I could tell if the problems I'm having are due to overheating? I've never gotten any message on the LCD indicating any overtemp, my only symptom is layer skips when in stealth mode.
I'm in the process of printing up the modified Bear X-Axis, since if I have to take things apart to adjust belt tension anyhow, I might as well just switch over, since I think it's a better design overall.
(Also, thanks for both responding to my question and everything you did on this thread)

I have Moon's 0.9 on X/Y and Bondtech geared extruder. Do you think I need heatsinks or active cooling if running "normal" mode (not stealth) inside an enclosure? I know Prusa said Einsy Rambo is designed to withstand the heat inside an enclosure but not sure if the extra load from 0.9 will change this?

I would add the heatsinks and vent holes for EINSY enclosure. They are very low cost, reduce chip stress, and give you more thermal head room.
BTW, you should also do test prints in stealth mode to examine what that does to surface finish. I get better results in stealth and keep my machines full time in stealth mode.

Thank you for the advice.
Did you cut the current Einsy Rambo case or modified Prusa STL? I am still debating whether to enclose mk3s or continue use my Ender 3 with a makeshift cardboard box for ABS and PC composite. The current setup is perfectly fine at printing those materials. But I really "want" to put mk3s into more use than just occasional PETG printing.
For some reason, I not quite confident at Einsy withstand 45c~50c ambient even with heat sinks 🤣 . At least everything on Ender 3 is cheap to replace and easily available. I may also need to rework cooling on hotend and extruder stepper.

On my MK3S Prusa framed machine, I simply cut the existing EINSY case with a hot soldering iron. You can make light sabre noises while you do that.
On my Bear framed machine, I modified the EINSY case model.

Is it a good idea to mirror Einsy board? I came across this design on Thingiverse. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4127893 It allows a small fan to be mounted on the other side. But at the same time stepper driver heatsinks are now facing heated bed. Do you think active cooling can outweigh of having stepper driver close to heated bed?

Yes. Both of mine are mirrored. Makes for easier servicing and easy addition of the cooling fan. I totally forgot about that because I'm so used to having it that way.
One minor thing to look out for with mirrored EINSY enclosures. Remember to raise Z high enough to clear the case before powering down the printer.

Hey there. I was able to compile the firmware successfully before but had to reinstall arduino and now get an error when I try to find the Einsy board. It jsut stops loading when I try to scroll down and find the board.
Has anyone else had this problem?
or I hate to ask but perhaps if someone else has the same setup: Bondtech BMG/ Moons .9 x and y only they can drop me a link to a compiled hex 3.8.1 firmware?
I am still on 3.7.x and would like to upgrade but can’t compile. I tried reinstalling multiple versions of arduino to no avail.

Guy and team, thank you for this body of work. I have just finish a Bear V2.1 build with Misumi Rod/Bearings, OMC 0.9 Steppers, BMG Magnum extruder on Bear C Axis and KUO 3.8.1 firmware. I’ve learned a ton from this thread, and really appreciate how everyone has worked together to vet out this solution.
As indicated by Guy, I am now seeing what I believe to be belt patterns on the X Axis, 2mm apart, perfectly align vertically, possiblely a very slight layer shift half was up a 3” high print on the Y-Axis. I am using real Gates 2GT belts and pulleys, except for Y-Axis motor pulley which has the wider 11mm Balitensen pulley from Amazon.
The fact that I can arrive at this level of result on first print, by simply following guidance here in is amazing. Now what? Do I continue to play with belt tensions on the X Axis? Or is there a known 16T pulley and idler that yields better results. As far as I know the topic has been touched on mid way through this thread, however I don’t recall seeing a definitive guide for belts and pulleys.

Could someone again briefly explain or link this to the other values for the "Stepper Online" motors or just name the forum page on which this was explained? I can't find it anymore. So it was about the fact that I need others at "Stepper Online" motors like Moons.
And then I have a problem with the combilation of the Firmware in the Modul "eeprom.h". My Arduino IDE always brings an error, like this:
"eeprom.h:227:55: error: 'reinterpret_cast<M500_conf*>(20)' is not a constant expression"
I didn't change anything on this module, just entered my printer data in teh configs.
