RPI Zero 2 damaged TX pin - alternative connection?
Hello,
maybe due to overvoltage in another setup my RPI Zero's TX pin is damaged.
Now I consider connecting the Pi via its USB port. The question is how to establish the power supply. Using the power connection from the GPIO connectors on the printer board is not working since Octoprint cannot detect the printer on this way. It seems, that the USB common ground is not the same as the one from the GPIO connector.
Any idea, how to solve this? Can I simply connect the GPIO GND and 5V to the USB power lines or would this damage the printer board or RPI?
Another way would be to feed the PI from the 24 V line with a dropdown regulator, but I would prefer to keep it as simple as possible.
