Relocate Power Button To LCD Front Display
hi all
I have made a enclosure for my printer and it is not easy to reach the power supply on/off switch. I would like to print a new front LCD display and relocate the toggle on/off switch from the back enclosure power supply to the front display. My main question lies with the wiring of the actual newly placed button itself.
If anyone has any advise it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks again
Chris

I would not try to relocate the existing power switch, but add an additional switch in the cable between the wall socket and power supply, and mount that toward the front of your enclosure. This would avoid any invasive procedures on the power supply.

Or for a totally non-invasive option:
Use a smart plug such as the Kasa and an Amazon Echo or Google Assistant. Just plug the main power cable in and leave the power switch on the Prusa on at all times.
I have all of my printers on smart plugs and an Echo Dot in my print shop. All I have to do is to say "Alexa, turn the Prusa on". In fact, I have set up a routine in the Amazon Alexa app to turn the (smart) lights on at the same time.
