Awesome upgrade for machines that don't include this, my MK3S is from Feb 2019, right before this started being included. Thanks for sharing the detailed instructions. For reference of anyone else trying this, I used a 10k Ohm pull-up resistor, 2 x 220 Ohm resistors in parallel (for 110 Ohm) on the PWR_LED, and a BC547B NPN Transistor. Works like a charm!
