Octolapse & Print Times....
While I wait for my MK3S+ kit to arrive I have been setting up my Raspberry Pi 4B with Octoprint etc. The only plugin currently installed is the Prusa Levelling guide, to be used for the nylock nut mod with the build plate to ensure its as level as possible, which I intend to do early on.
I have currently attached a Logitech C270, which I had spare, with the intention of just using it as a monitoring camera.
Having looked at OctoLapse I have considered the Pi HQ camera module with a decent lens to create some timelapse projects for my YouTube channel. However, I notice some stringing and bobbling where the nozzle has to leave the print between each layer. Hence I have the following 2 questions before I decide whether I want to proceed or not.....
1. Is the process determental to final print quality due to the nozzle moving back and forward between layers?
2. How much extra print time is added to the overall job? Lets say it's a 5 hour print by default. With the nozzle moving back/forward between each layer will there be a drastic increase in print time, or is this relatively small to not notice too much difference?

RE: Octolapse & Print Times....
I never noticed any impact on print quality but if you have a stringing problem it's going to be exacerbated.
Given that most prints take hours, the added time is minuscule. Plus, after the initial phase of excitement you're probably not going to ever do a time lapse again so it doesn't really matter 😀😀
