Octolapse and stringing.
I am getting terrible stringing that comes off in the direction the print head moves while printing with Octolapse. It does not happen with Octolapse turned off.
What settings do you use for:
Retraction length:
Retraction speed:
Detraction speed:
Z-Hop Height:
Z Movement Speed:
I would appreciate the help. I have fought with this for 3 months and can’t get good print quality.

i'd start with extrusion multiplier
https://mattshub.com/2017/04/19/extruder-calibration/
tuning your K value can help with preventing backpressure in the nozzle
https://mattshub.com/2017/10/02/linear-advance/
and turn those travels up as fast as possible. I have only recorded a couple of these, but prefer to trigger them on layer changes. having the nozzle in shot doesn't bother me.
you might also try changing where the nozzle goes to park itself. maybe the center of the model instead of a corner? avoiding boundary crossings is a valid strategy for preventing stringing.
Re: Octolapse and stringing.
Have you tired octolaspse? I am not sure this is the problem. I just printed 3 items on one surface. The stringing and globs are all one once side of the print. They are located and pointing toward the camera takign the photos. If I turn off octolaspe - no stringing.

because I'm assuming you've set the camera trigger to send the nozzle off to park before taking a shot. you don't see this normally because (depending how you have your slicer set) your nozzle wouldn't necessarily be crossing boundaries that often, if at all.
any chance it looks like this?

That is exactly what it looks like.
