Yes. My firmware has x and y set as 0.9 degree motors as the default state. It is after all, a 0.9 degree motor firmware that happens to have other desirable features. 

For those on stock motors, you must comment out the x and y 0.9 defines.

FYI I have printed sub 100c filament previously (playing with lost wax style casting).

If I was going to do the stepper upgrade now what is the current recomended models and gear as I see you have tested many!

Yes - but I was getting MINTEMP errors because of the low reading (see my thread about that in the firmware section of the forum.) This seemed like the easiest solution. With these adjustments, the hotend and the bed are reporting the same temp at idle (25C at the moment). Before I would see 15-16C for the hotend. I delve into the details in the other thread.

Also thinking I'll add an In-Line switch on my MMU2s as when it is "disconnected" unit will just be a MK3s and I can feed flex directly to the extruder instead of via the MMU2s.  With the PSU comming this week I'll have plenty to do as bits arrive!

I picked up three TC nozzles (0.4, 0.6, 0.9) from Dyze Design (also Canada). They're pretty much the same size as the Slice vanadium nozzle. From my initial tests, they work fine (though I wasn't having much of an issue with the vanadium.)

I did Guy's tree frog gcode in AmazonBasics PETG (I don't have Prusa PETG) and, other than severe stringing, it looks pretty good.

PEEK:  I've received my LRS-350-24 ps that I plan to install this weekend along with my upgraded Mosquito Thermister and Heater Cartridge + TC Nozzle (already have the the Mosquito Magnum installed san the heat brake insulator).  I plan to give a go at printing PEEK!  Any advise on:

- Settings?

- What to print?

Mosquito Heater Jig

Major problems with uploading at Thingiverse. So I am uploading here to help out in the meantime.

Attached are STL's for a jig that lets you use M3 x 20 bolts to push out thermistor and heater cartridge from Mosquito. Use the little round bit to protect end of heater cartridge during pressing out.

Print with at least 4 perimeters and 30% gyroid, PETG.

Should be pretty obvious how two nuts go into jig. Use good quality bolts and lubricate the bolts before using them to press out components. Make sure you align Mosquito so bolts go into the front mounting holes of the thermistor and then the heater.

You're into new territory for us.

Watch out for melting of hot fins and fan shroud. I had to redesign those in my Mosquito kit (uploaded last night) to withstand extended printing in just polycarb (290 nozzle / 120 bed). Mr. Melty eventually happens when you print with equal melt point parts.

PEEK printing temperatures will be far more thermal stress on extruder assembly components. You are printing a grade higher than your components (until you print extruder parts in PEEK). I would not expect your hot fin (or equivalent portion of extruder) or fan shroud to survive more than one or two PEEK prints. Probably should print up some spares of those BEFORE attempting PEEK prints.

Hi Guy, Thanks for the firmware!  I've upgraded the Thermister / Heater Catridge (still waiting on the last of my stepper to arrive).  Couple of note:

- My Mosquito Thermister reads correctly at Room Temp 🙂

- MMU2s / Magnum "Current Position" settings have been adjust the wrong way (got a massive jam that this time I managed to clear with damaging my heat break!).  It needs to be "decreased" not "increased".  I also played with different settings and so far this one seems to work the best:

Here is my first attempt at PEEK!  So the Mosquito / TC / Prusa setup is able to print PEEK.  The challenge will now be to find what print settings to use.  So far I've just taken by existing PETG and adjusted:

- Temp = 400c

- Bead Temp = 110c

- Fan = OFF

In looking at the print I have a couple of obvious issues:

1) Brown Layers:  From what I've read these are when crystallisation has been compromised due to cold drafts etc and hence the recommendation is to print in a chamber (...but of course I just printed in my room so I could check out what was happening).  These sections have poor layer adhesion.  The beige sections are what I think I'm aiming at and these sections 

2) Bridging:  It is good

3) Sags:  In watching the print, I could see that the filament was kept soft by the print head when it was printing the tower (that holds the nut) and as a result it got deformed (but this bit is very tough).

So the big question is (given how expensive this stuff is).... What basic settings do you think should I try (as I can find very little on print profiles for PEEK on the net)?

My 2nd attempt at the printing the Fan Shroud in PEEK was only a bit better.  This time a used:

- PC Print Profile as the base with

- 400c Nozzle

- 115 Print Bed

- 2/3rd Print Enclosure

The Big Issue however was that the PETG Mosquito mounts started to melt onto the hot end creating smoke at about the 10min mark.  Looks like I will need to reprint the Mosquito mounts in something other than PETG prior to trying to print them in PEEK.  Any suggestions on what would be better than PETG for this, PC maybe?

...and here is the Pic on the 2nd attempt.  Less Brown, more Cream but still meltiness on the nut tower.  I did notice that my cooling fan was coming on in short bursts now and again (I presume it was for bridging....) even though it was set to off.  Easy to see when it turned on as the smoke moved differently!

Checked my filament store and my choices for printing the Mosquito hot end parts are between eSUN ABS+ / PC / ASA / Nylon/CF and Dupont Zytel (nylon that they claim "Performs at higher service temperatures (Deflection Temperature > 100℃)")
