Fully Built [Printer-Box] Enclosure Wrapped Up
For a while now I've wanted an enclosure for my MK3s. Printer-box was one of the first serious cases on the market and I'd watched them with great interest. The Prusa launched their own enclosure. I ended up going for the Printer-box version only because the initial costs were better, but I think ultimately the two enclosures end up costing about the same in the end.
I took it a bit further than that even and added all the conceivable bells and whistles supported by this case.
So in addition to OctoPrint which I had been running previously I've added;
- OctoDash with touch screen controls at the printer.
- PID controlled fans for managing internal temperatures.
- A Pi Camera that is UV capable for night prints.
- Much brighter LED lighting.
- An old AV stand that will soon be retrofitted with storage for the printer.
I also created a few parts for the enclosure.
- A better retention bracket for the lateral temperature control housing.
- A little plug for an unused hole in the power supply area.
- Re-usable cartridge for the HEPA filter assembly.
- A revised knob that better fits the front panel.
I also had to make taller feet since the lip on my Cart meant the front panel controls rested on the edge. I didn't publish those since that was a fairly straight forward modification.
