FIlter system: when needed, and when not?

HI all,

I'm thinking about upgrading my mk3s with https://www.prusa3d.com/product/advanced-filtration-system-for-original-prusa-enclosure/ , but I'm not sure if this is needed. For so far I can gather the purpose of the filter is to filter out ultra fine particles. I print mostly PLA and PETg, is this filter of any use in this case?

Cheers!

Some people would argue that ANY plastic will generate particles and might be concerned about the cumulative effect. I for one feel safe using PLA and PETG without any filters. Up to you to decide what you're comfortable with. I use Elegoo mini filters https://a.co/d/22Cxx0X with ASA.

I have the 3d Upfitters enclosure, with a simple fan and filter.

When it's closed, there is little, if any, odor, even when printing ABS, which can stink if done on an unenclosed printer.
