Are there measurements for the frame, somewhere?
Making a mount/case to hold a Raspberry Pi3 (to run Octoprint). Used the pre-drilled (unused?) holes in the frame, to mount the base (above the Einsy). Took we a few iterations, as my measurements were slightly off.
Now looking at the crammed-in wires in the Einsy case, and thinking I want to make a mount for the Einsy as well.
This would be easier if I had the exact design-measurements for the existing holes in the frame. (Hint. Hint.)
Pulled down the Prusa3 github repo, but the frame is missing?
RE: Are there measurements for the frame, somewhere?
look at home page - 3dmodels - prusai3 printable parts - and download this file; Original Prusa i3 MK, is a zip, inside theri a folder with the frame in dxf format.
RE: Are there measurements for the frame, somewhere?
Thanks, but this is a different frame (MK2S versus MK3S).
Downloaded all the ZIP files. Found in the MK2S ZIP:
Original-Prusa-i3-MK2S/Printed-Parts/scad/FRAME_MK2.dxf
Looks like the frame changed slightly from the MK2S - the vertical is 55mm wide in the MK2S and 50mm wide on my printer. Looks like some of the hole spacing is similar...
RE: Are there measurements for the frame, somewhere?
You must download the MK3/MK3S ZIP-file.

Bear MK3 with Bondtech extruder
RE: Are there measurements for the frame, somewhere?
I downloaded them all ... and somehow managed to miss the MK3v8b.dxf:
$ find prusa-downloads -type f | grep -i dxf | grep -i frame
prusa-downloads/Original-Prusa-i3-MK2S/Printed-Parts/scad/FRAME_MK2.dxf
prusa-downloads/Original-Prusa-i3-MK3/Frame/MK3-rear-plate.dxf
prusa-downloads/Original-Prusa-i3-MK3/Frame/MK3-front-plate.dxf
prusa-downloads/Original-Prusa-i3-MK3/Frame/MK3v8b.dxf
Will see if this is a better match.
