Kisslicer

Some here promote Kisslicer as being the bees knees. I have downloaded it and wonder what the advocates use for settings with the Genuine Prusa I3 Mk2? I ask because I have had some issues with other slicers I use and failed prints.

Re: Kisslicer

Peter published his settings in one of his post. The issue is to find the right one ^^

But ok, here is a hint 🙂

Christophe

They have changed a lot since then... That's the good thing about being creative; you don't necessarily take someone else's efforts, copy it and then criticise when it doesn't work. Cyrille took my settings as a starting point and then worked it out for himself.

Fear not. The next version of Slic3r will introduce some of the better features of KISS (at least according to Josef on one of his feeds and reposted here).

Re: Kisslicer

Christophe Doh, my bad. I should have used the forum search.

Peter Thanks for the reply, I look forward to the improvements with Prusa's slicer with kisslicer inspired improvements.

Meanwhile I have been playing with Kisslicer. A print I was having difficulty with sliced well and gave me gcode. I need to work a bit more on tweaking, but for my first print it was promising.

All is looking good 🙂

Re: Kisslicer

Hi merv . Like PJR said I started by using his settings and kisslicer did exactly what I wanted (with the help of Peter). I don't remember in which post we discussed about kisslicer but you will easily find it with the forum search. You will also find some pictures and some tests for my specific problem.

Re: Kisslicer

No. I'll stick with Simplyfy3d, it is ultimately tweakable, if needed, but default settings can give great prints with the many printer profiles included.
