Help with support settings

I have a quick question. I am using the Prusa Slic3r ver 1.33.8 and I am printing on object that needs some support material. The problem is there is small 7 mm hole in the print, that really does not need support material but because support is engaged, its being "supported" and I don't really want that. In fact, with this print, there are only 2 places where there is support being generated. In one of those cases, I definitely need it and it works great. The 7 mm hole though, I DON'T want any support as cleaning out the hole is hard, and slicer is also placing support on both side of the wall that has the hole bore through it. Its very hard to remove that support. Is there a way to go in and erase support? Is there a setting that I can change to only support a gap of > 7mm so it ignores the hole? Thanks!

Re: Help with support settings

If your 7mm hole is vertical, then you could just change the setting to only generate support from the build plate, and it won't generate any inside of the hole.

Go to:

Print Settings > Check 'Support on build plate only:' towards the bottom of your options.

Then just make sure that you save that profile (give it a new name if you want to keep the original prusa profile intact that you may be using). Then you will need to re-generate/re-slice the gcode so that it knows to update your supports.
