Cura settings

Hi all,

Sorry for a newbie question, I just assembled my new Prusa i3 ! I have Cura on my Mac, because I used it with Ultimaker printers in a Fablab (sorry...) and I would like to use it with the i3 now. Are the Reprap settings enough or anything special I need to change ? I found some threads here, but not clear what precisely is needed.

Re: Cura settings

So I found the settings file in support, do I just load it as a profile ?

Re: Cura settings

Hi Alain

Sorry but like many others here, I don't use Cura very often as the prints it produces are not the best quality.

When I have used it I have seen the "load profile" option and would presume that is what you need to do.

However, setting up Cura for this printer is very simple; just set the printable size and then set filament to 1.75mm and extrusion width to 0.4mm. I think that's about all I did to get going and then I tweaked as necessary.
