connection issue between Sli3er and my computer
My windows 7 computer with USB 2 ports has trouble maintaining a consistent connection. I have updated the drivers and changed the cord. Any thoughts? Prints perfectly from the SD card.
RE: connection issue between Sli3er and my computer
Almost no one prints from a computer. Use the SD card; or start looking into OctoPrint and a Raspberry-Pi microcontroller. But keep in mind some of these USB problems will probably continue when you get the Raspberry up and running. It seems, USB interrupt handling on the Einsy and Raspberry can get out of sync and cause issues. Some love it and don't have problems, others fight it. It may be the hacker quality and capability. Sort of like some people root their phone and are happy, others attempt root their phone because it sounded like a great idea and end up with a brick.
Current fad is the WiFi SD card: allows remote access so you don't have to swap the card every time you want to load up a file to print.

Thanks Tim. Seems a shame that these two powerful devices can't talk to each other.
RE: connection issue between Sli3er and my computer
I would like to control and observe my printer remotely. I can observe easily but control is an issue without a reliable computer interface. Prusa please fix this or someone give me a way around this. Thanks

I'm inclined to think it's on your end, I've run all day prints from my PC without issue.
RE: connection issue between Sli3er and my computer
I agree but it seems I am not the only person having the issue. I have also run prints without a problem, then for no apparent reason the connection is lost. What is your usb type? 2 or 3 and what OS?

USB3, OpenSuSE 42.3
One thing to be wary of - winderp sometimes shuts off USB devices to save power. That might be worth looking into as part of your issue.
