Is there a good book or online course for the absolute beginner to learn the ins and outs of writing g-code?

I needed 3 cups of coffee to get through that spec. Reminds me of the early days of Postscript. I knew people who could write the raw script from memory and actually have something useful print out.

Any other spec that just addresses what Prusa uses for its printers?
