X axis shift during printing

Just today I got my Mk2 printer up and running, have gone through four prints so far. They've all been completed successfully, though I've noticed an interesting quirk, and I thought someone might be able to offer some suggestions for what's going on. The first print I did was of the Prusa logo, which came out just fine, but then I gave the 3D Hubs Marvin model a try (using the gcode file that came preloaded on the SD card that came with the printer). During the print, the X axis shifted to the left by a little over a millimeter when the Marvin model was 12 mm high. I tried tightening the X axis belt and tightening the screws on the motor pulley, and running the print again. Again, the printer shifted left by about a mm when the model was 12 mm high. I looked online for solutions, found out firmware 3.0.7 was out, so I tried updating the firmware, rerunning the XYZ Calibration and printing one more Marvin model (was previously running firmware 3.0.6). Yet again, the model shifted to the left by about a mm when the model was about 12 mm high.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why it's shifting to the left so consistently? Thanks in advance!

Silent mode or hipower mode?

Re: X axis shift during printing

Can you share a picture of this happening? I have found that layer shifting can be caused by to much plastic being present on the model, and the nozzle actually hitting the "bump" and causing the axis to be shifted. Once it is off center it will keep printing off center. This can also be caused by a few different hardware issues.

Here is a list of things that could cause the issue, which is called layer shifting:
