Wrinkling in the first layer
So I just got my printer last week and I've been loving it so far. I've been having a lot of fun printing all sorts of random things and I'm really happy with the quality - compared to my previous printer it's like night and day.
Last night I was doing some tuning with the first layer with the technique in this thread and decided to print a wider object. The result was a bunch of wrinkling you can see in the photo below.
The print was done with the included pla with a bed temp of 65 and a first layer temp of 215. I've used these temperatures before and haven't seen any wrinkling until now.
I'm also not convinced the bed is uniformly level since I had an issue with the calibration square in the above thread where the same live z would have normal fill in one corner and less fill (as if the z increased) in the other corner. I tried some bed level correction which helped a little but I haven't been able to really nail that down as of yet.
Does anyone have suggestions for what I could try? Thanks for reading 🙂

The wrinkles go away if you slightly raise your Z-offset.
My standard procedure is: use Jeffs methode to find the proper Z-offset for the middle of the, then i print the 9 squares test pattern (towards the end of Jeffs thread) and use this to manually do bed level correct.
And yes, my bed is warped as well, so it is tricky to get perfect results across the whole bed.

Thanks! I hadn't realized there was a 9 square pattern, that definitely helps. As for the wrinkling I increased the z height by a slight amount like you suggested and that did the trick - the reprint came out much better. Only thing now is getting the bed more level - I'll try out some of the suggestions I found in the other thread.

This is a huge understatement. Struggling greatly with this now.

There are beds that are beyond fixing. See if yo can come up with a.. whats it called.. straight edge or something like that, put it an your bed, shine a light from behind it and a take a picture of the gaps and show them to the Pruisa support. If its warped past a certain point, ask for a replacement bed..
Otherwise, there's manual bed level correct - and there's a firmware hack to enable more control over the bed level correction by giving full control over the 9 points instead of just the 4 edges of the bed.

first i recommend to get the live z adjustment level right. have a look at this thread (and read at least the first 5 sites of it).
then: a heatbed temperature of 65°C for PLA is quite hot. remember PLA has a vicat temperature of 54°C. the printing process isn't intended that you fuse the filament with the heatbed... that's the task of the hotend .
