What's the difference?
I saw on Josef Prusa's twitter to search on amazon, which I did. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015GDDXJA/ref=ox_sfl_cart_mbc_s1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&serverToken=Obidos
And I have a few questions. I only was curious about amazon as I could save on shipping and avoid the custom fees some people in the US have gotten. But I noticed it's 100 cheaper. Live chat support didn't have an answer. Is it the same kit? An older model? A knock off? What's the deal?

It certainly looks like the genuine article, but there is only 1 available and delivery is not for a couple of weeks. Josef's name is spelt correctly in the ad as well.
I had heard Josef was looking to get a better way to ship to the US, but that price is quite incredible.

They have put it online early with an incorrect price, so don't go buying one yet!

We created the listing and we sell thru this link on the Amazon.
However, we just found out the hard way that everyone can "hijack" this by attaching same SKU to their product.
McFly Hoverboards who is currently only one stocking this SKU is fake listing. As we did not supply them and they are accidentally also stocking chinese clones, they 100% sell fake.
I am right now trying to get to someone at amazon to deal with this 🙁

We created the listing and we sell original printers under this. But anyone can say "hey I sell this product too" and be listed as another seller. Which is definitely fine for TVs and phones but not for irignal prusa i3. Damn it. 30mins on the phone already 🙁

Yeah I saw that mcfly after you were out of stock. And that's when I noticed the price difference. I don't want to buy from anybody else. I was going to buy a taz5 since that's made in my state and I like to support local. Then I found this.... I want to buy one already! Just gonna order through the shop I think. I got stuff to print already!

Yep, original e-shop is the best.
We have to file and infringement form and hope for the best. They have been helpful on the phone ...

Looks like the link works and the price is right $599.
Did you guys stock some with amazon? I noticed they are shipping alot cheaper, (infact free shipping with Prime) This would be awesome since im debating getting a 4th printer 😛

Yes, that is now Josef selling the printers into the US via Amazon.
This is something that Josef has been planning for a while to reduce shipping and import costs.
In preparation, he set up the listing, but then McFly Hoverboards for whatever reason, decided to use the listing themselves. Now Prusa Research has stock available. I believe this is a long-term thing, so no rush to buy. But availability will depend on sales and I don't know how long it takes to re-stock.

On that same subject,
does the filament supplier you guys use have a US based distributor? Hate to ask, but i love the silver, but international shipping on it gets expensive (shipping is more than the filament LOL)
