Un-built I3 Mk2 to Mk2s
I have an unopened (due to a long term illness) I3 Mk2. I have since bought the Mk2s upgrade kit with printable parts already printed.
Has anyone any ideas about how to go forward with the assembly, ideally I don't want to build up the Mk2 then disassemble it for the upgrade.
Your suggestions would be most welcome. 🙂
Re: Un-built I3 Mk2 to Mk2s
I am just finishing the upgrade from Mk2 to S.
Swap out the newly printed S parts, rods and bearings. The only additional part I found was the Y motor support.
Someone more experienced than me may correct this, but I think you could just use the MK2s kit manual and follow it.
MK2S & Mk3 my mini farm is alive 😆
Re: Un-built I3 Mk2 to Mk2s
I would swap out the Mk2S parts with the appropriate kit parts before starting, and follow the Mk2S assembly manual. You can always refer back to the Mk2 manual in case of any confusion but I doubt that will be needed. The assembly manuals are high quality and provide excellent guidance. Good luck with your build!
