Temperature calibration vs PID calibration - Difference?

Can anyone tell me the difference between the 2 calibration options?

It's all detailed in the release notes: https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/releases/tag/v3.0.11 and https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/releases/tag/v3.0.11-RC1

Thanks, I did read those notes but still a bit unclear. I know very little about PID calibration. I assumed it was to do with temperatures? If so, how is it different to the temp calibration option? I'm just looking to stable my temps as they seem to fluctuate.

PID if firmware corrects the over/undershoot of the extruder temperature only.

Looks like your bed needs it more than the extruder; but the bed temp is not as important (or overall accurate) as the extruder.

The temp calibration is for the probe; nothing to do with heating of the extruder or bed. The probe response differs with temperature; this is a method to do the probing at a stable probe temperature to avoid variations across the bed.

Thanks. Yeah the extruder seems to hold temp after the initial oscillation. I'll have a play with the bed settings and see what results I get. I guess we can store the PID values for the bed to the EEPROM now?
