Sound?
This may be a dumb question but, when I built my MK2s and installed the LCD panel I saw what I thought to be a small speaker above the dial knob.
My machine has not made a single sound (other than mechanical noise) in the four days i have been printing. Is this normal?
Re: Sound?
Once I did first successful print while using octoprint, it played a "song". Freaked the living ... out of me. 😀 Normally I guess it makes the "clicking" sound while scrolling through menus.

Thanks for the reply. So I got with support and they have given me a reset task I have to try once the print I am in the middle of finishes. All else is working fine, just no sound even during menu usage. If the reset does not work, I guess I will be sent a new LCD panel.

❓ did you print my little calibration surface ?
➡ the gcode uses sound through the beeper to remind you that you can toggle the z-live adjustment level in the middle of the print.
and in addition: it plays a sound at the end of the print.

Re: Sound?
Mine only clicks when I press the dial during scrolling in menu.

if it can click, it should be able to play single notes when you use the M300 command inside a gcode file.

Yep, after a factory reset the sound is now working. I used your calibration surface for the sound AND to dial down my Z height. Thanks so much for it... Sure beats the supplied calibration gcode!
