Setting up an Octoprint box from scratch
Hi,
thanks for Peter advices, I started to implement a Octoprint Server based on a Banana Pi, installing from scratch on Bananian (an optimized Debian Jessie implementation).
I still have things to do (finalize webcam settings, install cera ...), but I can already connect to the printer and move the motors, start the fan.
However sometimes the interactions generate random characters on the LVD screen, and I need to switch it off then on to clean the content of the screen, I imagine that I have fine tuning to do regarding the configuration.
What are the settings to implement in Octoprint to properly manage the Prusa i3 ? Any recommendation ?
I'm like Jon Snow, I know nothing.

Christophe.
There are several of us users running with OctoPi, but with a rather corrupt LCD screen... There is an issue with the DTR line interfering with the nibbles being transmitted to the LCD and occasionally they go out of sync.
I believe this is due to RAMBo design rather than firmware issues.
As for OctoPrint settings, just basic stuff is required, unless you want to run the Cura plug-in (which I don't).

I also run OctoPi and have an occasional LCD screen glitch, about once every 15 prints. When it happens I just push the selector dial button down and it clears it right up.
