Right side X carriage sags

I have a problem where the X carriage sags. It's not a small difference, usually about 10 millimeters. When I go through the XYZ config, by the time I am at the second calibration point that change is so bad that when it gets to the third one, it can't find it. I reset everything and try again but I wind up with the same problem. Here's a video of what is happening.

I wonder if your right z-axis stepper motor is getting power or possibly the motor is bad. Does the right side go all the way to the top when you run the z-axis up from the menu? Can you easily turn the right threaded rod when the power is on? The z-axis steppers should always be powered unless the printer is turned off to keep the two sides from getting out of sync (like what's happening to you).

Yes, as you can see in the video, it's going, and it goes to the top but it takes longer than the left side. It is getting power, I've checked everything and all the wires are connected. It passes the self test fine.

Re: Right side X carriage sags

It could be mechanical binding on the right side. With the power off try turning the two threaded rods at the same time.

The two z-axis stepper motors are powered by the same driver on the rambo board. There could be a bad solder joint at the connector on the rambo board. Try swapping the cables for the left & right stepper motors at the rambo board.

Other than that, either the stepper motor or the cable from the rambo board to the motor is bad.

Nothing appears to be binding. When I swap the cables the problem persists.
