Replacement parts to keep on hand?
Hi all.
My printer will be arriving today. Can't wait.
I keep reading about parts that you should have as spares like nozzles.
Is there a list or something of these parts?
Thank you.
Re: Replacement parts to keep on hand?
Hi Scott
There will probably be very few spare parts required at first. I started off with a Chinese clone, which I have kept going by having a stock of spares.
Linear bearings seem to be my most commonly required spare, although I do use quite a few nozzles and extruder bits. My original has not required any replacement parts so far, except for a new RAMBo board, which was broken by a flying bulldog clip. Fortunately, not something that is a regular occurrence...
I did have to replace the heater block on the clone a couple of days ago, mainly due to the regular nozzle replacement and tightening wearing out the thread. I don't expect that to be necessary with the Prusa, although I have invested in a complete V6 hot end.
