"repair" PEI sheet

Got some "scars" in my PEI surface after a fight a few weeks ago, its a 2x2mm triangular "flap" and I'm afraid it will get worse if I print on top of it.
Are there any way to "melt" the PEI, could I try a soldering iron to fuse the flap together?

I will change the PEI sheet later, but for now it would just be nice to patch it up 🙂

I have had great success with repairing the sheets. Ultimately you will need to replace it but if that is on the to-do list the best temporary repair is to get some 3M 468MP, 200MP Adhesive. Its the same stuff used on the PEI. You can buy it in sheets or small rolls. A sheet larger then the bed will cost around £3 then cut to size. Hopefully that should solve it for a while. It is the only real best way to hold the pei to the bed with the heat unless you changed the complete PEI.

Hopefully others might have a different way but I found glues did not work well or last long and then left a mark on the actual bed.
