Random XYZ calibration outcome

Hello,

the printer was assembled and working great after the first successful full calibration.

The printer was untouched for one and half week.

Today, I ran the XYZ calibration (may I should have avoided...).

Among my dozen attempts, either it does not go further point 4 of the first part or point 9 of the second part, randomly.

I am observing the red light going well off and on over the points.

Any idea ?

Thanks.

Re: Random XYZ calibration outcome

After many attempts I observed that the belt on the left of the extruder was wobbling a lot during the calibration.

I also figured out that some rubber was peeled off from the belt on the idler.

I guessed that some misalignment was causing the rubbing.

I pushed further the pulley the X axis on the stepper shaft as much as I can and secured the pulley.

There is still little wobble during the calibration when the direction changes but far less than before.

And... the XYZ calibration test is now anytime successfuL

I think that the X positioning was oscillating because the wobbling the belt and causing the test failure.
