Printing bed is not straight sometimes on MK2

So this is very strange,
I did the calibration and everything. The v2calibration finishes nice end even (picture in album)
But my model Im trying to print ends up not being even. the bottom right part is clearly very smooshed against the table when the other part is perfectly sticking.
I thought the z calibration is supposed to solve this minor bed leveling changes.
but something is not working properly I think.

thew two pictures:

what should I do?

Thanks a lot.

In Firmware 3.0.6 there is the possibility to adjust the calibration manually even after automatic calibration. You can set height variations for the 4 directions. You could try to adjust the height there (+-50µm for example)

So what exactly is the Automatic Calibration doing if I still get this kind of stuff?
and the weird thing is that the V2calibration gcode was extruded nicely. I am very confused.

Manual adjustment allows to correct manufacturing imperfections of the heatbed. If probing inserts of heatbed are not in exact position (vertically), the probe gets false image of heatbed geometry. Mesh bed leveling then works, but produces wrong output.

I tried it, I put it to max which is 50 (tried both ways -50 and 50 because I didnt know which direction is which, at -50 it crashed into the bed) and the change was very minute.

I still get one side to be like that.
I dont know what to do anymore, very unsatisfied. 🙁

Re: Printing bed is not straight sometimes on MK2

I'm having the same problem. I didn't notice at first since I was printing small objects. Now that I am printing larger objects, I've noticed the first layer is good on the back of the print bed and squished on the front half. Attached is a file showing the problem. I'm not sure why the auto leveling isn't fixing it. I've rerun the calibration without any change. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to printer menu option: Calibration and select "Bed level correct"

This option allows up to +- 50 micron change to the bed left/right/front/rear.

Set the front initially to 25 ( + raises the nozzle) to see if that helps.

I had this exact problem! All my calibration prints would work perfectly but not anything else.

I ended up switching to Simplify3d and the problem resolved itself (from Cura) so there must be a setting somewhere that was messing with it.

Re: Printing bed is not straight sometimes on MK2

I raised the nozzle in the front by 25 microns and it didn't make a difference. I went back to the support page and noticed I was a step behind on firmware. I upgraded to 3.0.8, raised the nozzle and the printing improved! I still have to adjust it a bit but I think this will solve it. Thanks for the help Peter.

Eventually I think I solved it by reinstalling the firmware and also updating it to the new one just released.
In my opinion there was a bug in the auto-leveling thing. The bed was clearly crooked but when actually printing you couldn't see the Z motors compensating for the mis-leveling, you could clearly see they don't move even the slightest for the same height.
now after upgrading the firmware (lets call it formatting the printer) I can clearly see the Z motors slightly moving to compensate.

so try installing the same firmware version again or upgrading it, rerun all the auto leveling stuff and this might do the trick

but I am very very disappointed by the clear lack of service here in the forum by the company or even Prusa himself (I sent him a personal message and never got a reply)
absolutely no one cared to even try to help.

Hi SloppyPuppy. The support here is not provided by Prusa Research directly. They rely on so called peer to peer comments and promote some to so called Pro members. It is adhoc at best and missleading at worst.

Re: Printing bed is not straight sometimes on MK2

i have the same problem. the "front" (nearest the LCD) is always flatter (nozzle closer to the bed) then the "rear" of the bed. this appears in V2 calibration so i am assuming it is not a slicer issue. I am currently running 3.0.9 and have tried calibrating the bed, manual adjusted the bed correction settings in the menu and also shimming the rear. Nothing fixes the problem. In fact the software bed correction doesn't seem to have any affect. It appears that it may be bed leveling not working at all?
