Print Layers Misaligned

Hey guys,

Ive never had this happen before and I have no idea why it happened.
Ive had no major issues with printing until this happened this morning.
I also found this screw when I moved the printer. It was to the left back of the machine - no idea where its come from!
All the belts are tight.

Can someone please explain to me what has happened here.

Thanks!

that's a so called layer shift.

this happens when either the extruder carriage is hampered while printing in x-direction, or the heatbed is hampered in y-direction or if one of the pulleys slips.
the reasons can be multiple. from pets (usually cats) interfering with the printer, through blocked bearings (most likely with drylins), cable trunks interfering with each other, extruder/p.i.n.d.a. hitting upcurling prints, tangled filament at the spool, blocking spool holder .......

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...
