PINDA probe HELL.

I am on wit's end with my printer. What am I supposed to do now?!?!

I mean, the printer has been generally alright. A few happy times with my printer, more than enough mods and prints to satisfy me for a few weeks. However, recently it's just been problem after problem after problem:

  • XYZ calibration was out of whack a lot- tightened some belts and screws, seems to have been fixed.
  • There has always been an inconsistent first layer, whether or not it was scarred or too close or too far from the bed was always a tossup. Again, re-positioned the PINDA probe about 10 times, tightened the PINDA probe, put some threadlock on it, that seemed to have fixed the issue for a week or so.
  • It feels like the RAMBo board has been moving at a snail's pace. And when I mean that, I mean it does not hesitate to punch a hole through your PEI bed instead of just touching it and jerking back, like it's supposed to.
  • The printer will fail various calibrations. Over. And over. And over again. XYZ calibration? Good luck. Z calibration? Pffffft, in your dreams. Not even auto homing the printer works right. Everything is intermittent.
  • So, embarking on my week long troubleshooting journey comes up with.... literally nothing but more crap. I've checked every wire, every connection, every place that can go wrong, I re-positioned the PINDA probe a dozen times now, fixed the Z axis movement, checked every nook and cranny for things obviously wrong and guess what I come up with? Nothing!! Here's some proof to show you how bad it is.

Here's a video showing it failing calibration and not hesitating to break itself...

And here's another video of it failing a different calibration. Again.

    Even more proof....

    And the cherry on top...

    Wait for it....

    Just wait....

WOW. I swear to god, this probe is broken.

Can I contact Prusa support for a replacement probe or something? And where should I buy a replacement PEI sheet?

Had the same thing happen to me. Lowering the Probe helped.
