Peeled Off
I am using magma abs filament to print some objects, I tried lowering the head closer to the bed with brim enabled, ended up the brim peeled off the moment it got laid down. I also cleaned up the bed with IPA, resulting the same.
One way is to increase the nozzle and bed distance, even then, the brim will slowly lose its grip to the heatbed. I haven't tried smearing with gluestick to be honest as I don't have it at the moment.

I haven't tried with other filament brand.
I wonder what's wrong then? Was it that the magma filament aren't good?

Printing with ABS can be a real pain. Don't forget to increase bed temperature. Around 100°C should be ok for most ABS. In General, you want a bit more squish (lower nozzle to bed) than with PLA. Oh, and as you said: too close to the bed and it tears off as well.
Use a wide brim with ABS, i usually go 8 lines brim - if the brim sticks it does help alot and with ABS you can use all the help you can get.
Try giving your PEI sheet a quick wash with Aceton, i guess IPA isnt getting everything off the bed, so about once a month i use aceton on mine.
But usually, that alone isnt sufficient, so you'll have to try your luck with adhesion enhancers like gluestick, hairspray, 3dlac, magigoo or whatnot. Btw: less is usually more, a thin coating is usually all it needs. It's trial and error unfortunately...
... and once you got it to stick, some sudden cold draft will ruin the darn print halfway thru 😉

I am printing at 100'c, one thing I notice about this magma abs is the filament is kind of soft compared to others that I usually used.
As for brims, my minimum is 10mm and often go for 15mm. If squished too much then the brim will tear off from the bed. I will try with acetone, it's just that I can hardly get one in my area.
I'm guessing I will go for gluestick option once acetone failed.
I'm not sure about the y axis assembly helper though, I was thinking the time I fitted it it might warped a bit the steel rods or something or maybe the front y corner were too much inwards.
This is a very slow process since the bed cools at a slow rate. What I had in mind is to use acetone first before adjusting the corners and see how.
I actually got my printer on the recent monday, started printing on it at tuesday. I was thinking that it is too soon that the printed object didn't stick on the surface

Using acetone to restore adhesion really works. Now I'm thinking that it might be due to IPA making this problem
