Over tightening of heatbed screws: hole threads damaged

Hi awesome community!

While the manual is clear about not over tightening these screws, that was long forgotten when re-tightening screws a year later.

I found that one of my corner screws has destroyed the internal threads from over tightening (after fully inserted, screw can keep turning). Obviously the best fix would be to buy a new bed and the easiest solution would be to ignore it and keep printing. My plan was to attempt gluing it in place to see if it could reduce vibrations, I'm curious to hear any knowledge experience or ideas with this problem.

PS. Sorry if there are a ton of threads like this - it was very hard to search for a thread regarding broken threads since every thread contains the word thread 😆

another option is to buy a set of M3 standoff's and replace them

oh sweet, thanks joan - knowing that middle part (standoff) is replaceable is perfect information! unscrewing the hexagonal standoff counter-clockwise to remove it shouldn't break anything with it then right?
