Nozzle change went wrong
Hi.
I replaced my nozzle earlier today and accidentally scratched it. I am unsure if the scratches are a problem or if I can reuse the nozzle in the future.
I apologize if the quality is bad and if it is difficult to see the scratches and deformations.
Furthermore, PLA is stuck inside the nozzle - is there any easy way to remove this when the nozzle is taken of the printer?
After I mounted the new nozzle (hardened steel nozzle 0.4mm) i ran the self test successfully and launchen the XYZ calibration. This however went wrong. I didn't stop the printer in time and the nozzle destroyed my PEI sheet.
The PEI sheet is now deformed and will most likely cause trouble when I try to perform the XYZ calibration again. Should I simply ignore the damage it does at that point in the calibration? Or can I skip this part?
Also. Should I order a new heat bed or just a new PEI sheet?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Nozzle change went wrong
If you are referring to the scratches on the outside of the nozzle, that doesn't matter.
You can try sanding that area where the PEI is damaged to get it flat again. Unless you hurt the actual bed I think you will be ok and it should calibrate as well.
Just don't print there until you get a new sheet.
If you get is smooth and it doesn't calibrate then you might need a new bed. But I cannot tell if you damaged the plate.
