Newly assembled printer does not work

I got a new i3 1.75 mm kit and assembled in about 3 days spending my vacation with that - just finished. However, it does not work. All I got is two yellow blinks (led turns to green after that) and there is a continuous high pitch beeping (what is interrupted for a moment every 4-5 seconds and then it goes on and on.
Turning the knob on the LCD does not do anything; pushing it highlights the led for as long as the button is pushed.

I am very sad now. 🙁

I double checked all connections and cables and all looks good to me... any idea?

Hi Sandor

Can you please post a photo of the connectors on the LCD panel.

Thanks in advance

Peter

Hi Sandor,

It looks like your ribbon cables might be on backwards in the first picture. The connector on the LCD board has a physical key, so you can't get them backwards, but on the Rambo mini, the only indication of the key is a silk screen on the PCB which are pointing towards the center of the board. If I'm seeing it in your pictures correctly, it looks like the ribbon cables are plugged in with the connector key towards the outside of the board.

Don't pay too much attention to the red number 1 wire on the cables. On the kit I just received and built, the ribbon cables were assembled with the red wire on the opposite side so it looks to be a different orientation than the instructions. If you pay attention to the key and silkscreen, you should be fine

Double check your connector orientation with this picture from Part 8, Step 13 of the build instructions.
.

Good luck!

Roger

Roger, thanks a lot! Actually flipping the LCD wires helped! It is night already so will try to calibrate tomorrow. At least, all looks good on the screen. 😀 Woo, cool.
