Missing balls from Y bearings MK2S

Hello,

I assemble all the kit by myself, with patience and slowly, when i assemble the X some balls come off from the bearnings, if i shake the bearings i can hear the balls shaking, if i do samething on Y bearnings nothing move or do noise (Only X bearings come with outside balls) so i continue assemble to test if it will affect anything.
Now printer is completed and it print very good (at least i think, my first 3d printer...) quality is very good, still i like to ask if it can affect the performance and if can be improved. Also if i apply little force to bed at a corner for example bottom left and push right, bed move horizontal about 1 to 3mm. When priting it only move up and down, this only happen if i apply force by the side corner, i like to know if that is normal or my mistake?

Please see photos for reference

Missing balls (11 and i may lost some)

Re: Missing balls from Y bearings MK2S

Personally, i'd replace them. Ball bearings that are losing balls are broken. Depending how many balls got lost in a single bearing, it might work ok for a while, but in the long run this is not worth it, especially considering how cheap they are on ebay & co.

Thank you, i may do that, better replace than sorry.
Also can you tell me if bed moving horizontal is normal when pushed?
About print quality is it OK?

Regards

Re: Missing balls from Y bearings MK2S

Well, my printer arrived with broken bearings as well, so I am not sure what is to be considered normal. My bed was "moving" a bit as well when pushed.

Your batman, bottle opener, marvins, frog and lamp shade are looking pretty good. So i guess it's safe to say you / your printer seems to be doing just fine. The skull thing could do with a bit of tweaking i guess (i never printed that one so i don't know for sure).

Thank you for reviewing.
Almost all was printed with -600 live z, vase and other prints with -800. I didn't notice a big change in quality but -800 seens to give best quality and more hard to remove prints from bed.
I also have other problem when printing ABS, PLA and PETG print well with this settings but not ABS, it start to warp at 2nd layer, with -1000 works but noozle will touch the bed.
34ºc ambient temperature, no ACs or other ventilations.
I use Prusa EasyABS fillament

just to make that point clear: beside the admins like josefprusa and jakub.d, none of us at this board is a member of prusa. the only relationship we have to prusa is that we like their printers. most of us are customers and as far as i can see, most of us are convinced that the i3 mk2(s) provides the best value for money ratio at it's price segment.
our support here is from user to user, on a totally voluntary basis, with best intend, but without any guarantee.

Well i think all foruns are like that, support is user to user and people may know that. Otherwise i would have contacted support directlly from their page. All my questions are redirected to comunity and how my printer compare with the others, and what i have ask also happen to others users.
Admins have more to do than anwser user questions and forum itself, for example improving the printer 🙂
