Loosing Z position after "cancel print"
Hello Prusa Forum,
i received and assembled last week my i3 mk2s kit. After self-test and xyz calibration i calibrate the z axis.
I made a few test prints for adjusting the Z-offset (-0.650). This worked fine. I canceled the print via the printer menu.
I tried directly to print the same .gcode, but the printers z axis was to high. Round about 1mm i would say. I opened the Z-offset (live adjust) menu and there were my -0.650mm already saved.
So in my opinion the printer come in trouble when i used the "cancel print" option. Another time the printer bed moved completely backwards against the stop switch after canceling the print. Is there a bug in this option already known?
Best Regards
Tim
Re: Loosing Z position after "cancel print"
some people reported curious behaviours after a "stop print" as well... in one case the nozzle drove directly into the printbed 😳 .
when you cancel a print, it is very likely that you leave the printer in a somhow indefined state. so it's a good idea to do a proper reset after that the printhead started to move after cancelling.
