Re: Looking for help

I know that if you don't have the PINDA probe low enough, you will get these kinds of issues. Also, I did make some Alignment sticks and posted them to a thread in the "Improvements" section of the forums. You might want to check them out. The Z-Frame corners may help you out a bit as well when messing with the nuts that hold the Z-Frame in place. I didn't stop adjusting my premade 3D printer until I got a message of "all axis are perpendicular". I find that the Y-axis moves much better and with less artifacts this way.

Dimensions PNG

and an 8 inch (200mm) or greater caliper is recommended.

xyz calibration error

i am getting the same error message at the end of xyz calibration. XYZ calibration comprimized . Left front calibration point not reachable

i have moved the the penda sensor up and down and tried calibrating again 6 times still getting the same error

any suggestions.

Re: Looking for help

I looked over the link to the video you sent. The part that pertains to my issue shows to push on opposite sides of the padded feet to see if there is any play. There is none, it is perfectly flat. Then it showed to check at the straightness by looking down onto the print bed and using the x axis bar as a guide. It is perfectly straight. I am still getting the error message when trying to calibrate:

X/Y skewed severely. Skew will be corrected automatically.

I am wondering if I should be trying to move the big black frame (z axis) forward a bit by loosening up the singular M10 nuts and tightening up the double ones to pull it forwards towards the LCD. If that is something you think would help please let me know. Otherwise I don't know what to try to do to make this error go away. I've read manuals, looked at videos and tried the suggestions and it is not helping.

Re: Looking for help

I think you should contact support. From what you describe, it should all be perfect. They might have some ideas how to find the problem causing this.

I know for me, I had some of the front or rear Y-Frame dual threaded rod sections skewed. This caused my printer to not lay flat on my table and it also caused the rear end of the Y-axis linear rods to not be 170mm on center. Also, if you measure both the top and bottom of the Y-axis rear corners (left and right, so 4 measurements), your measurements should come out to 100mm. I use a digital calipers for this so I know it is accurate. If it is less than 100mm, then yes, move the Z-Frame closer to the LCD. You can't have less than 100mm between the Z-frame rear and the Y-axis corners, but more is OK or else your PINDA probe will fail.

Re: Looking for help

I fixed my issue by moving the nuts on the y axis nuts a few mm

Re: Looking for help

Hey Lee,

I know this sounds simple but did you level off your z axis by manually raising it to the top and letting the gears click at the top of the rails before you run the calibration ?

Also ensure the Pinda probe is not skewed. If the top nut isn't seated properly for the pinda probe it can be pushing sideways. Make sure it runs straight down.

I was having the same XYZ Calibration compromised error message, and I did everything in this message thread from moving my Pinda probe and updating my firmware ect.

Finally, I did what Ayourk recommended, which was measuring the distance between the rear of the Z-frame and the Y-axis corners and it worked!

Using calipers I found that my space was 99mm, I thought what the heck ill just try to move it to 101mm and see what happens, and it actually solved the error. The only sucky thing is that now it says my X/Y axis is "severly skewed", but that doesnt really matter because it autocorrects for that.
