live z issue with autocalibration

Hi there,

I decided to finetune my printer, so I downloaded this to start:
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2092773

and I printed the squares at 0.2mm using Cura.

They all seem nearly identical, except for the one on the far right. Here a picture of 2 squares, left one is in the middle of the surface, the right one is the right hand side one. All others look ok except that last one.
Any idea what causes this? I tried manually leveling the print bed by using a measuring tool and putting some spacers under the feet after my first print. Then I printed again and I have exactly the same result.

Re: live z issue with autocalibration

Honestly, that model is a calibration nonsense.

Better to look at Jeff's excellent calibration threat: https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/prusa-i3-kit-building-calibrating-first-print-main-f6/life-adjust-z-my-way-t2981.html and if you want to go further look for the "Hyperfine levelling" thread

Why is it nonsense? It's the same principle as in the other thread here, only we print multiple squares instead of one, to see how it behaves on different places on the bed.

Thanks for the tip about the other topic. I'll go through that one.

Why is it nonsense?

There are 9 probing points. Between those points, bed levelling is interpolated. Calibration squares need to be printed as close to those nine points as possible; anywhere else ilse is worthless.

Have you found the bed correction? You'll need to use that if you haven't yet, along with info from the live z thread.
