Re: LCD Screen powers on, but only shows 2 rows of black squares?
I can probably buy a card reader at some point to test it, but i can live without. As i never leave the printer running without me there, my PC is the easiest way to deal with printing. I don't trust my confidence in the setup enough to leave any print running without me keeping an eagle eye on it haha. Not unless i can get a streamed webcam set up to monitor it from work.
As for the frame, I thought it was square, the only thing i could image is the felt feet perhaps being different enough in thickness to cause an issue? Its on a solid square block of wood, my desk is built from these. It does have a vinyl covering over which might have a fluctuating thickness to it?
Cheers!

Have a look at OctoPrint. Uses a Raspberry Pi (2B) plus PiCam or webcam to view and control the printer over a web interface (via a browser).
Sounds like everything is level, so you will just have to calibrate the best you can. You will get better at it and you will find that over time it will get more level...

Re: LCD Screen powers on, but only shows 2 rows of black squares?
Just for anyone finding this thread on the MK2, I just solved this issue, by replacing BOTH cables. I spent hours replacing only the one that looked damaged, and switching around the new cable. No, both must have been damaged, or had some issue with the different lengths or something, IDK. But just for future reference, replace both of the cables. You can get all the supplies you need at frys for under 4 dollars if you're comfortable building your own cable.
